Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC)

Individual Participation

Individuals that want to participate in this program can only do so through a Special Purpose Entity (SPE). A participating individual contributes to the SPE. The SPE then distributes the funds to the charity of the participant’s choice. YACA partners with a local SPE, Friends of Education to process these contributions. Corporate Participation

Invest in a young person’s future today by redirecting your state income tax liability from the PA Treasury to Yes! And… Collaborative Arts!

Pennsylvania allows individuals and businesses to obtain a state tax credit (not a deduction) equal to 90% of their Pennsylvania state tax liability for eligible contributions. These contributions must be made either to schools that provide tuition assistance to students from low-income households or to approved Educational Improvement Organizations (“EIOs”). The program is part of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (“EITC”) program.

Your employer, or your small business, can donate to YACA through Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC). EITC provides companies with a 75% tax credit for donations they make to an approved educational nonprofit (like Yes! And…!), and the tax credit increases to 90% if the company commits to making the same donation for two consecutive years. Businesses paying taxes in Pennsylvania can receive up to $750,000 in tax credits annually. Visit the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development website for more information on the EITC  program.
