In the short film, The Root of the Problem, a team of documentarians have traveled into the forest, where each tree is a living being that has within it a sprite who can move through the woods. Through interviews and found footage, we learn about the lives of each sprite-tree pair: their histories, their relationship, and their role in the interconnected system of the forest. As the documentarians continue their project, it becomes clear that all is not well in this particular patch of woods. The Root of the Problem explores the many different ways, positive and negative, that our actions can impact others.
