Fall Classes - starting in September

K-4th grades

African Folklore (Storytelling & Acting)
Delving into the origin of storytelling, students will immerse themselves in the tools of African Storytelling, from call & response to Djembe drum circle. Students will create their own African folklore accompanied by music and song.

4th-8th grades

Poetry as Performance (Acting & Storytelling)
Poetry as Performance aims at introducing students to the power of spoken word through a weekly poetry workshop series, culminating in a showcase that displays the hard work of our ensemble of poets. Each week will consist of a given prompt with an collaborative objective - featuring group poetry.

For High Schoolers

Advanced Acting
Come perfect your skills in this advanced acting class. This class is for Shadow members who already participate in Shadow Company or high schoolers who would like to learn more about our high school company.

Wednesdays, starting September 26th, 6:30pm-8:00pm - $16 per class (1½ hours)

General Info

Classes are held at our homebase - 21 W. Washington Ln. in Germantown (Visit Google map.)

Studio rates are competitive and we also offer scholarships if needed.

Grades and ages are approximate. Please talk to a staff member to see what classes are right for your child's developmental stage.

Classes are typically $12 a session and typically last 1 hour. Please arrive early so your child can have the full hour of instruction.

Parents are welcome to either drop off their child, or sit in our office during the session. We have wi-fi!

Gavin Whitt specializes in theatre, performance, and acting. This year he has directed both Winter Sort of Thing and our Shadow Company plays. We are really excited to have him with us again for studio!
