Spring Classes - starting in March

K-4th grades

4th-7th grades

Roman, Greek, & Egyptian Gods and their Archetypes (Acting & Storytelling)
Meet the gods! Join our Executive Director Michael Brix in this 10 week acting and storytelling class. Students will explore the stories of these ancient gods and how they often embody sterotypical character traits. Together we will create scenes and characters and manipulate the stories for a current audience.

Tuesdays, starting April 3rd, 5:00pm - 6:00pm - $12 per session

For High Schoolers

Advanced Acting (includes 8th graders)
Come perfect your skills in this weekend advanced acting class. This class is for Shadow members who already participate in Shadow Company or 8th graders and high schoolers who would like to learn more about our high school company.

Saturdays, starting March 10th, 10:00am-11:30am - $16 per class
Artist teachers: Gavin Whitt, Natalie Hann, Brooke Sexton, and more TBA!

Content Creation
We are getting a head start on writing our fall show together. Using a devised content creation method, with our professional artist teachers, Shadowers are going to be pushed to their creative limits. This class is open to current Shadow members only (which is why it's not on the form below).

Saturdays 11:30am-1:30pm

General Info

Classes are held at our homebase - 21 W. Washington Ln. in Germantown (Visit Google map.)

Studio rates are competitive and we also offer scholarships if needed.

Grades and ages are approximate. Please talk to a staff member to see what classes are right for your child's developmental stage.

Classes are typically $12 a session and typically last 1 hour. Please arrive early so your child can have the full hour of instruction.

Parents are welcome to either drop off their child, or sit in our office during the session. We have wi-fi!

Meet our Artist Teachers

Heather McBride is a Philadelphia-based, actor, improv performer, and photographer. She is a Summer Camp Director and has worked with our Sort of Thing program as an administrator and actor. We are so excited to have her with us. SSOT Rehearsal

Lindsey Jaynes dances and teaches dance throughout the Philadelphia area. She is one of our favorite Summer Camp movement teachers and has worked on our Summer Sort of Thing shows.

Gavin Whitt specializes in theatre, performance, and acting. He will join us this fall after performing his solo show at the Chicago Fringe Festival. This summer he joined our staff as an acting teacher at Theatre Camp. We are really excited to have him with us for studio!

Emily Parker is an actor in Philadelphia working at her own theatre company, Indecorous Theatre Productions. She worked with us this summer in every staff role possible! We are excited that she will continue working with us this fall in studio and after school.
