Inner Monologues: A Benefit ConcertWith the Philadelphia Folk Festival and Featuring The Spinning Leaves, Zach Stock, & John MallinenFriday May 11th , 8pm. Yards Brewery, 901 N. Delaware Ave. Phila PA 19123
Yes! And... Collaborative Arts, with the Philadelphia Folksong Society and Yards Brewery presents an evening with Zach Stock, John Mallinen and The Spinning Leaves to raise funds for this summer’s “Camperships.” Click here for the Facebook invite! Philadelphia based nonprofit Yes! And... Collaborative Arts equips children and young people with the tools to be better learners, to believe in themselves and to realize their dreams through the work of creating collaboratively with peers and professional artists. They spend most of their time with kids living in low-income neighborhoods in and around the Philadelphia area, but believe that collaborative arts education is important for all ages, everywhere. Yes! And... never turns a child away because of money. This event will raise funds to send kids to camps throughout Philadelphia this summer. The Spinning Leaves, co-founders of the Philly Folk Parade, on the heels of their new 7-inch Head Aglow EP, will be sending out feel good psychedelic folk tunes. Zach Stock, one of the many professional artists that collaborates with Yes! And... has been packing out Philly venues this past year, will be sharing his songs before heading to the Philadelphia Folk Festival this summer. In 2011, Zach released his album Until We Lay Alone, mixed by famed producer Bill Moriarity. There will also be a rare special guest performance from well-loved Philadelphia songsmith John Mallinen. Along with supplying their usual selection of fresh beers on tap, Yards Brewery is also providing a round on the house, and a brewery tour for attendees who purchase VIP tickets to the event.
